During the pandemic, I got asked to make a cool mural of a traditional market in PAI, Thailand. It was a tough job with so many details, and it took me almost a whole month to finish! But it turned out awesome!

The main idea behind this mural was to recreate a landmark known to tourists from around the world: Pai, Thailand. That's where chef Nui, the restaurant's owner, is originally from.
Every character in the mural tells a story. Each one holds personal meaning for Nui. It was in that place where she met her husband Jeff. Later, the two opened their business, The Curry Shack. There, the chef began to show her talent in the kitchen.
The cool color palette wasn't a random choice. I analyzed the restaurant's interior design: the furniture and the warm lighting from the hanging lanterns on the ceiling. That's why I chose an opposite palette, to create visual contrast and give the mural more visibility.
The black outline, cartoon style gives the piece a unique touch.

For this second mural, the idea was to recreate a traditional Thai festival Yi Peng and combine it with a portrait of chef Nui's mother, as a tribute to her. The task was to cover the mural at the restaurant's entrance. That meant renting a scaffold ladder to reach the higher surfaces.
For this mural, I tried something new for me: spray paint cans. This was a big challenge. I learned the whole process while making the mural. I experimented on my own with different caps and with handling the can.

For this last commission, I created a small but complex mural on the second floor. The owners wanted a more typographic visual, one that still carried the lantern concept from the staircase mural as a natural continuation.
I adapted the phrase ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE into a mix of clean lettering and graffiti style tags, then combined it with clouds and lanterns to tie the piece back to the entrance mural. The result connects both spaces into one visual story, from the entrance to the top floor.
